The Challenge

We partnered with our client, a Pest Control company, a few years before this story begins. The program originated with on-page and technical SEO as well as paid search. After seeing increases in conversions but an industry drop in organic traffic, we set out to improve site views. Organic Search historically boasted the highest conversion rate, so we identified the opportunity for a multifaceted approach benefiting their organic presence. Particularly, implementing social media marketing and content marketing into the plan for the upcoming year.

Strategy

  • Introduce content to the site with regularly published blog articles designed to increase the site’s footprint and visibility on search engine results pages.
  • Developing content marketing on Facebook and via content advertising platform Outbrain, to drive direct site views and indirect organic visibility.

The Results

The results are a testament to the impact that targeted content can have on site traffic. With time, consistent quality content contributions led to a dramatic increase of traffic YOY. Unique traffic increased by 98%. Referral traffic increased by 416%, and Social traffic increased by 2,139%.

User behavior markedly increased as well from the first year of implementation to the second. YOY, total visits to the blog increased by 654% reaching a total of over 50,000 visits. Time on page for visits increased by 22%. Our client continues to increase their reach and quality time in front of potential customers’ eyes.
